One great benefit of working in the photo world is the incredible locations I get to visit. Last week I worked on the edge of a huge hill in Malibu that overlooks the ocean. On the property was a partially finished modern home made of concrete. It turns out it was designed by the owner of the property, Eric Lloyd Wright, Frank Lloyd Wright's grandson. I spoke on the phone today with Eric's wife Tree to get more information about the home—turns out there's not much to tell except that they ran out of money before it could be finished. They now rent out the property for events, photo shoots, even shamanic sweat lodge ceremonies. While I don't like the over-the-top masculine and heavy architecture in that environment, it's nonetheless striking and comes with a multi-million dollar view.
